Spectrum, AI and Networks Among Top NSF-Funded 6G Projects

Statistics gathered from NSF’s database show that most 6G projects funded by the American agency relate to spectrum – including terahertz and millimeter wave – Artificial Intelligence (AI) and aspects of the network.

This is what the analysis done by 6GWorld and published over the past weeks has revealed. According to the data, NSF has invested more than $53 million in 6G-focused research. UC San Diego and FIU top grants, while Ohio State leads overall funding.
