6GSymposium Spring 2021

We are at the dawn of commercial 5G. What was promised as a new start for industries and enterprises of all kinds has not met that promise; not least because the most important people, the end users, weren’t involved early enough.

By 2030 and the dawn of commercial 6G the world’s climate aspirations, population, economy, and work will have changed. If we are to deliver a smart, connected world that can meet the many demands on it, we need to start with all the stakeholders in the room and grow a complete set of viable solutions and business cases, not just a technology.

Join us this May, when we bring together leaders from across different industries, public and private sector, and academia to explore the key questions around what 6G offers industry and society and how to get there.

  • 6G-Enabled Business Ecosystems: Verticals-Centric Network Operations
    Tue, May 4th 2021 16:00 PM CEST

Until recently most major MNOs have been highly invested in a mass-market B2C model, with network technology and operations developed around this. With a new focus on industry-specific requirements the way that networks interact with their users, their services and the OSS/BSS stack is starting to develop; but where do we go from here?

  • Government, Policy & 6G: Data Sharing, Privacy & Consent in the World of 6G
    Wed, May 5th 2021 13:00 PM CEST

6G is expected to move us much further towards the ideal of ubiquitous connectivity for a myriad of devices, sensors, and autonomous applications. This creates the fundamental enabler for Future Smart Services for homes, factories, cities, and governments, which in turn rely on sharing of large volumes of often personal data between individuals and organisations, or between individuals and governments. With the multidimensional flows of rich data, the challenge is to update our concepts of privacy, consent and minimising potential harms. A far from simple task.
