Joydeep Acharya is a Senior Manager in Silicon Valley Research Center for Hitachi America R&D Division. He has 15+ years of experience in architecting and developing end-to-end IoT solutions encompassing sensing, edge platform, connectivity and machine learning. In his current role he is responsible for developing innovative R&D solutions and customer co-creation for smart manufacturing, including smart maintenance, quality and production optimization. and He holds 18 U.S. patents and has authored 25 technical publications. He co-authored a book on 3GPP LTE Heterogeneous Networks published by John Wiley. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University.
