Getting to Surrey – Days 2 & 3

Driving:

The University of Surrey has parking areas available, but parking spaces are limited and need to be prebooked. The parking lots are patroled and cars that are not booked, will be ticketed.

Public Transportation

From Central London: Guildford Rail Station is c. 30 minutes direct from Waterloo Station in Central London.

Gatwick: There are direct trains between Gatwick Airport and Guildford which take c.45 minutes.
Taxis from Gatwick will take c.45 minutes and cost around £66 for a 25-mile journey.

Heathrow: The RailAir RA2 bus runs direct between Heathrow Airport and Guildford, taking roughly 1 hr 20 minutes. Alternatively, it is possible to travel into London via the Elizabeth Line; change at Bond Street for the Jubilee Line south to Waterloo Station; and travel on from there.

Taxis from Heathrow to Guildford will take c. 30 minutes and cost around £50 for a 21-mile journey.

Hotel Accommodations

Guildford has a variety of hotels available – a selection are available here.

Several, such as the Asperion, Angel Posting House and Holroyd Arms, are within comfortable walking distance of the 6G Innovation Centre.

Local taxis can be booked using Uber, but Guildford Cars, A3 and others are also available for direct booking.
